Okay, what’s the plan with wikisocial.org?

Starting with the idea in mind.

Several close friends sent me emails in reference to this wikisocial project. Their questions were probably the same questions that are troubling everyone who has perchanced to peak in here.

I looked at the site but there is not much for me to go on since you only have a blog post up.  I guess I’ll need to see it in action to give some input. I know wikis are hard to get started.  Apparently Wikipedia has millions doing updates but about 1000 people do 90% of the updating so you need those hardcore users.

Yep, I knew that might be the initial response of folks that are not within my reality distortion field. I just need those first 1000 hardcore users.

I was going to comment…but couldn’t shape anything other than something in the “cool!” variant.  Maybe a nice thing would be some questions guiding what you are hoping will be the next contributions / steps / etc. ?  topics as points of entry for people like me who might have something to contribute but might not know where to start.

Right, what am I thinking of, what kind of feedback or participation am I hoping to get. Especially since there is no wiki page yet. I think I covered my mediawiki problems in the initial post last night, and I am aware that there is no wiki on a site that has wiki innit. So what’s the deal?

The whole idea is about dialogue. And building something that will serve both the team of contributors and the students, visitors and enthusiasts who happen by.

RIGHT! So the wiki…  I will get it up tonight once I figure out how to extract the content from the first mediawiki draft.

I am hoping for resonance with the first hardcore 5! Either it strikes you as “cool” or “so what.” Speak your mind and influence the path.
